Intro To Cave:DOING IT SAFELY AND CORRECTLY ..
The Intro-To-Cave Diving class is designed to prepare cavern divers to enter and safely dive underwater caves with limited penetration.
- Intro-To-cave Divers will learn the following skills:
- How to correctly configure equipment, plan and execute an underwater cave dive within No Decompression Limits.
- Emphasis is placed on air management, correct body position, emergency procedures, Cave Awareness and Cave line reel deployment and penetration techniques.
- The Intro-to-Cave course is conducted over a minimum of 4 dives:
Intro-To-Cave Certification of training will be issued once the student has safely demonstrated all learned techniques specific to the Intro-To-Cave Diver level.
The Intro-To-Cave Diver Student will be required to have additional equipment beyond Cavern Diver standards to participate in the Intro-To-Cave course.
Intro-To-cave Student must have a Primary Cave Penetration Reel, a Safety Reel, and Three underwater lights of which one must be equivalent to 10 watt HID and have sufficient burn time to last longer than the planned dive time
Prerequisites: Cavern Certification from a recognized training agency, Minimum Age 18 years, Cavern Training may be added to this class for a combined Cavern Intro-To Cave Training course
Course fees do not include charter boat, park access fees, equipment rentals or sales.
